NEU Home Services is committed to making our website usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to read our cost guides, understand our information, and reach us easily.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or screen magnification.
What we do
- Use clear, semantic page structure with a single main heading and a logical heading order.
- Provide a "skip to main content" link and visible keyboard focus on links and buttons.
- Write descriptive link text so the destination is clear out of context.
- Build pages that respond to smaller screens and remain readable when text is enlarged.
- Keep our content free of forms on these guide pages, so no personal information is requested here.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing effort rather than a one time task. We review our pages periodically and make improvements as we find them. Some content provided by outside services, such as web fonts, may not be fully within our control, and we work to keep any impact minimal.
